We employ skilled workers in all shipyard trades, carrying on a one hundred year tradition of craftsmanship and financial stability unmatched by any other shipyard on the west coast. Our typical ship repair and conversion jobs involve repairs to a wide variety of systems and coordination of multiple disciplines to meet customer needs. We welcome a wide variety of projects large and small, particularly repair and conversion of vessels over 100 feet in length.

In our over one hundred year history in Washington, our main line of business has shifted between boatbuilding, boat repair, shipbuilding and ship repair, but the common denominator is quality craftsmanship.

Our convenient West Coast location in the geographic center of Seattle, Washington provides quick access to other specialized services and material suppliers. Access to our shipyard from Puget Sound is through the Hiram Chittenden Locks, the largest of which is 800 ft. by 80 ft. Lake Union Drydock Company is located in fresh water, and we have no tides.
